Lyndsay and Nate's Joyful, Worth-The-Wait Wedding at Brown's Revolution Hall in Troy, New York

Thank you to my brilliant lighting guru, road trip companion, and dear friend Em Pogo for second shooting Lyndsay and Nate’s wedding with me

Very rarely do I have the delight of photographing a couple who I also watched fall in love, so it was an extra special treat to start my 2022 wedding season with Lyndsay and Nate’s wedding. Lyndsay was my college roommate for two years, was the most laid back person to live with, and was always happy to frost the many box mix cakes I whipped up in college. Nate was in my photojournalism cohort, and besides keeping me laughing in the dullest classes, he also has kept me up to date on all the news regarding Omar Souleyman, a Syrian singer who we bonded over.

Lyndsay and Nate postponed their wedding from April 2020, to September 2020, to April 2021, and finally, the date that stuck happened to fall upon the most beautiful spring day. Light streamed into the beautiful antique glass windows of Brown’s Revolution Hall as they renewed their vows surrounded by the sweetest group of family and friends. While few have to go through the postponement journey that Lyndsay and Nate did, as I stood on the balcony and watched all their favorite people dancing through the night, I knew it was worth the wait.
