Gwynneth and Nolin's Between-Raindrops Intimate Wedding in Marshfield, Massachusetts

Though their original wedding plan at Satoyama Farm was shifted to next year to allow more of their friends and family to safely attend, Gwynneth and Nolin wanted to honor their original date and get married anyways, so they planned a laid-back, intimate wedding in Marshfield, MA. I wanted to document this celebration for them as well as get to know their families ahead of their larger wedding next year, so I headed down south of Boston to spend a few hours with them both and their kin.

It’s no secret that this summer so far has been the rainiest in my memory since high school, with almost every wedding I’ve photographed since early June experiencing some kind of rain, and Gwynneth and Nolin’s were no exception. With the help of a little luck, waiting a few extra minutes, and a handy radar app, Gwynneth and Nolin were able to get married, take their family photos, and their couples photos between rainstorms, and the light we had during their couples session was the prettiest, hazy, moody light (and a hawk graced us with its presence too!).

Gwynneth and Nolin are a wonderful example of a team, who trusts the other fully. Instead of a surprise proposal, they talked it through together, and both had rings made together. It’s easy to see the admiration they have for each other, and have been equal members of the wedding planning process. I’m so looking forward to continuing to work with them for their bigger celebration in Vermont next summer!
