Shawna and Dave's Mountaintop Party Wedding at The Peak Lodge in Killington, Vermont
When fog and rain encircled Killington Peak just minutes before Shawna and Dave’s outdoor ceremony, who stepped up? Shawna and Dave’s incredible wedding party and their family, moving decor inside, rearranging tables, and relaying information so in just minutes, the reception area was ready for a sweet, heartfelt ceremony that went off without a hitch. This was the theme of the day: the hero wedding party that could. When not calming nerves, gathering family for portraits, and getting drinks, they were dancing like crazy, giving wonderful toasts, and arranging a beautiful, surprise outdoor dance party in the fog complete with flashlights so Shawna and Dave could share a dance outside.
Getting married at the top of Killington Peak had long been a dream for Shawna and Dave- they’re both avid snowboarders and loved the idea of hosting a party in the middle of the Green Mountains. Shawna’s spent the past year and a half working crazy overtime to pay for the wedding too! Guests arrived via gondola, and made themselves at home in the glass box lodge on top of a mountain. Shawna and Dave threw a party to remember with a DJ who not only got everyone out of their seats, but ON their seats, twirling napkins and shouting at the tops of their lungs. Their 90’s throwback music had the dance floor packed the entire night!
