Amanda and Kevin's Foliage-Filled, Camp Wedding at Camp Susan Curtis in Stoneham, Maine
When they aren’t busy getting married at a remote summer camp in Maine, Amanda and Kevin live in Fairbanks, Alaska, which is a real bummer from our perspective because we really wish they were our neighbors. Simultaneously humble and hilarious, they make you both giddy with laughter and comfortable being around them.
Amanda and Kevin are also competitive weightlifters and we loved how their vows included things like “I’ll always be there to spot you and cheer you on when you reach a new PR” and we naturally had to include some flex-off photos by the lake.
The most important thing for the couple was that their friends and family were comfortable and had a good time- they weren’t phased by details or little nuances that often get people stressed throughout a wedding day, so of course the weather was perfect, the leaves were at full color, and the entire day went smoothly without anyone ever wasting time worrying about it before the fact. We loved how kids were welcome guests at the event and were fully embraced in every activity throughout the weekend- after all, a summer camp is the perfect place for everyone at any age to feel welcome and at home.
