Celeste and David's Home-Grown Adventure Wedding in Montpelier, Vermont

Celeste and David's wedding at the Capital City Grange in Montpelier was just as much a celebration of the wonderfully warm community surrounding them as it was a celebration of their marriage. In a giant collaboration with their friends and family, they created everything- from the flowers, to the decorations, to the food. Friends signed up for kitchen and cleanup duty, and those with strong arms and a sense of adventure helped to throw Celeste, David, and a few others into the air for their blanket toss. In their beautiful Quaker wedding ceremony, friends spoke, sang, and read poetry when they felt led as Celese and David sat in the sunshine-filled greatroom of the grange and soaked it all up. When it came time for witnesses to sign the marriage certificate, all guests were invited to sign the hand-crafted certificate.

It's hard to find a few favorite highlights as we honestly loved all of it, but the pizza lunch from David's mobile pizza oven (he caters weddings, farmer's markets, and events) was unforgettable, the broom hockey game in the parking lot, and the dance (where everyone danced!) with contra and cajun dancing were some of the highlights of the adventurous day. This was the best way possible to start our 2016 season!
