Carly and Kevin's Classy Bayfront Wedding in Erie, Pennsylvania
Carly and Kevin's Wedding was a huge reunion for all their friends and family, and it was a reunion for Jeff and me as well. Because Erie is the place where I grew up and learned how to photograph weddings alongside my parents, it was a special treat to come back and see my family and photograph at places where I took my first photographs.
Carly and I first met in high school, where I photographed her in musicals and working at our school's TV station. She's always had a calm, classy presence and is wise beyond her years. When we met Kevin this summer, we fell in love with his kindness and his "all-in" attitude. Their combined personalities made for a laid-back day where every detail was taken care of.
I think my favorite moment of the day was during a quick makeup check between portraits when I asked Carly how she was doing. She turned to me with a big smile and said she felt no nervousness at all because she got to spend the whole day alongside her best friend- Kevin.
